The Story
Dusty Rust came up in Lewiston, Idaho and later carved out his sound in Kansas City, mixing the rough edges of the Northwest with the blue-collar barroom spirit of the Midwest. The result is country and rock with more grit than polish and more lived-in stories than poses.
From 2013 through 2018, his Thursday residency at The Westport Saloon helped make him a staple of the Kansas City scene. Along the way he shared bills with artists like Dale Watson, Whitey Morgan, Hellbound Glory, and JB Beverly, building a reputation on stage the hard way.
